Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft cought shoplifting in IL being illegal

Myself and my gilfriend got cought shoplifting food in IL , they stopped us by the door , then took us in back room, and called the police. Police said that my gilrfriend can go and they are taking me to jail. they took me to jail , took my fingerprints and when it cleared they let my out on bail with court date in a month.
My question is 1) I am illegal immigrant , will it come up at court? and can they deport me on spot there?
2) at store they made us sigh that I took meet for $52.00 and my girlfriend for $72.00,but they did not take her to police and no court date. Will it come up in court?
3) what is my worst scenario, if I am getting convicted?
4) Is the law different , because it was food , not retail?
5) what will happen to my gilfriend ?

I would think yes this will come up and yes they can deport you

Not sure what your asking does your GF have a court date as well?

Its still theft no matter wha tit was you took

Cant say at this point I am not certain she was even charged as I read your post
 
Its only me who got a court date not my girlfriend but store has her information as well.
I guess my question is , when they took me to police station and took my fingerprints , it did not come back anything about me being illigal , why its different with court?
we just had a baby a month ago , I cant risk being deported, is it posiple to have a lawer show on my behalf?
 
We cannot say if they will or will not discover your here illegally but its very possible. Yes if you hire an Attoreny he might be able to appear on your behalf. Start calling them Monday many offer free consultations. Try to find one familar with immigration law as well as criminal law
 
Just one more question , if somehow I can try work thing out with store to drop criminal charges , will police still pursue? or lawyer can take care of that , have you heard anything about that ?

It could come up in court. You don't have any papers at all?

I highly doubt they would deport you on the spot from court. The police would have kept you in custody if they were going to deport you.

Who knows until she is charged and convicted.
 
I do have IL drivers lisence but I did entered US illegal and I am illigal without real posibilities to get legalized , I have no criminal record or anything, the court is in the same police station where they took my fingerpring and release on self bail ( no money, no other peaple involved) I am very scared because we have a month old child , is there is a way I could postpoind court , so we can check with as meny lawyer as possible? What question I should ask lawyer to determinate if he is good? And what can happen if I dont show up? Can lawyer appear in court without me?

Just wanted to give update, I had a lot of lawyers consulatations and finally got a lawyer I like, at court they asked if anybody from store was there and nobody was so case got dismissed . and affter 160 days he will file to have even that I was arrested removed. I think its totally worth it to have a lawyer and being illigal immigrant you dont want that to go on record and you can only have supervision up to a year. If its a year or more , even supervision getting reported to immigration. I did negosiated fees with lawyer and make sure the fee they are charging is included unlimited court dates and arest record cleanup. Thank you this side for all the information they provided , I learned from my bad mistake
