Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Cought Steeling $150 worth of merchandise HELP

I got caught steeling three cartons of cigarettes estimated value of $150. I gave back all cartons, i cooperated 100%, and this is my first offense. I am 20 years old and live in NY. I'm wondering what i'm looking forward too, when i go to court. Please i want to know what to expect, and what kind of trouble i'm in. Thank you

This is a misdemenaor and unless you have a prior criminal record jail is not likely. That being said you should try to avoid this becoming a criminal record if you dont have one currently. Talk to your Lawyer about options like Diversion

i dont have a lawyer. and i really want to keep it away from my family. they dont know yet.
