counterfeit check

I unknowingly endorsed a counterfeit check made out to me.I gave this check to my landlord for back rent.He endorsed it and deposited it into his account.He gave me $41.00 in cash.When the check came back no good they simply deducted it from his account.What is going to happen to me?PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.

If you pay the landlord the dough plus his penalties at the bank, I don't think anything will happen to you.
