Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Court Sentencing

So I just went to court for Class A Misdemeanor Theft and my lawyer advised me to plead guilty in return for 3 months court supervision (because I had one previous case used against me). He told me that when I fill out job apps I dont have to put that Ive ever been convicted? But I would like to know what type of jobs can I get with this superivision or whatever on my record and how does it show up on a background check? Am I technically convicted or no? Im located in Illinois btw.

Also I didnt receive any court papers after sentencing? Do I need to consult my lawyer or go back to the courthouse?

Your Attorney is best one to answer this however unless your part of an ACD or Diversion program you "will" have a criminal record that 'can" impact any job you have or seek
