i had account with schewels furniture. i bought a repoed laptop and a recliner. the laptop didn't come with a warranty. not long after i had it, it froze up. i took it back to get it repaired, they said itwould be 2 - 3 weeks. after abut 2 weeks, i called, and they said it was to be on there truck that thursday. i called back friday, it never showed up. after about 2 to 2 1/2 months, i got fed up, so i returned the chair and wanted to close the account. they said i couldn't close it, that it would go against me as a repo. now, after everything is said and done, they sold the merchandise out right, and knocked that off what i owed. they are saying that my remaining balance is $450. i have nothing to show for it. they say i am still responsible for paying this money. if not, it's gonna eventually be turned in to an outised credit agency. i don't want this to happen. im in the process of rebuilding my credit, i dont want it to get any wors. however, i dont feel that im responsiblefor paying this. they said it worked the same way as if i bought a car. if it got repoed, id still be stuck with paying a balance. is there any way out of this, or am i stuck paying $450 without anything to show for it.
