My grandmother allowed me to use her credit card and debit card to pay bills, buy groceries and gas while I was having a hard time. She got sick and is in the nursing home now for a 21 day rehab and my uncle has went through all of her accounts and says he is going to have me arrested. Can he do this without her permission? He does not have power of attorney over her and she has not been declared incompetent.

If he is not on the accounts and was not POA, at the time of the charges, he can not do anything about it.

he was listed on her bank account but not credit card and she says she never signed power of attorney papers but they are threatning me and I dont know what to do. Should I try and get the money and pay her back now I don't want the police to show up at my job and I have two small children I am very scared. I only used her debit card twice while she was in the hospital and she knew. She has written me checks over the years but I never signed any of her checks. He says he has all the charges that I made on her credit card how can he get these records without her calling the card company.

Don't worry too much about it. Go get Gramma to put in writing that she gave you permission to use her card. He has to prove she didn't. You will be ok. Paying back the money will not reverse the crime.
