I recenly checked my credit report and found a claim for over $5,000 on my report. I have never gotten a bill for this or heard from a collection agency. The claim was filed two years ago, but the original bill is from 4 1/2 years ago. It is a doctors bill from when my son was born. I had insurance at the time and I had reached our out of pocket max. This should have been paid by insurance, but I dont have that insurance any more and I cant afford to pay this collection. I called the agency over a month ago to get more information regarding this claim and have not received anything yet. The agency told me to contact my insurance and see if they will pay it, but it has been over 2 years since I have had the insurance and dont know what to do now. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
