I had rec'd debt notices from AALLC in 2005 saying that I owed them for a credit card and another one from WF. Well, I didn't know anything about either of them. I sent debt validation request letters to them and rec'd nothing back. They had a lawyer send me a letter as well. I asked him for validation & didn't receive anything back either. For awhile, I never heard from them. About a year ago, I started getting messages stating that they were calling about a pending case in a certain county & I needed to give them a call. I ignored them. Low & behold, I ran my credit report 2 weeks ago & saw them on there. I, also, saw the 2 original companies on there. When I disputed the original companies, they immediately deleted it from my credit reports. I sent AALLC another letter certified mail & yet again no response. I've disputed them with the credit bureau as well about 2 weeks ago -- no response yet. I noticed on an old credit report that this debt is to expire in January 2008. I have 2 questions == does this mean that it can't be reported anymore? And, how can AALLC prove this debt if the original creditors can not do it? I'm just afraid that they are not going to respond & the credit bureau will delete it. Then, they will just resubmit it again when they do their credit transfer file the following month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
