My jurisdiction is: Cleburne County, Alabama

My jurisdiction is: Alabama

Could criminal code be applied to family law? I was informed by the local sheriff's dept that criminal code, i.e. kidnapping in the second degree cannot be applied to family/civil law. Would any one be interested in clearifying that for me.

It depends on the context of the situation. Please clarify the situation. And why are you seeking legal advice from a cop? Why haven't your consulted with a local Family Law attorney???

You need to tell us what is going on here. Because family law involves court orders and custodial interferance is different than kidnapping, we really need to know specifics.
