Im 18 , a friend and i got caught shoplifting it was small items. We got taken into the room were they keep the cameras and they talked to us. The cops were not involved they asked us for our IDs our address our SSN but we didnt have it on us only thing i had was a school ID n we gave them our address and phone number and birthdate and thats about all they got from us and we had to sign the paper to never go back to the store thats all and i was reading about other cases and they had to pay a find. they didnt tell us we had to and they let us go. What i want to know will anything else happen? Will we get charged? And will it be in our record

They did tell you about the fine. It was surely covered in the documents you signed and likely didn't read. You can expect to receive a bill for a few hundred bucks.
Without adequate ID I'm surprised they didn't call police.

I work in the Retail Theft field and consult people like you daily. Where no one can say for sure I can say if Police were not called and you have no pending court date you need not be concerned about criminal record except any database the store (you should not have named) might subscribe to. Long as you pay Civil Demand you should be fine.

No he didnt mention no fine. The paper didnt say that all it had was a small paragraph that said i ______ will not teturn to (the store) and if i do i will get arrested for trassping thats all it had just my name and address and birthdate and he didnt since it was both of us taken there and same thing with my friend she gave no info and the only ID she had was her license

He didnt say we had to pay bo civil demand he just made us sign the to never return paper and he lets us go
