Criminal Offence or not

Hi,

I recieved a Ordinance Violation - Operating Impaired - MCL 257.6253-A, way back in 1994. I blew a .09 and at the time the legal limit in Michigan was .1 . Since it was an ordinance violation, I believe it is not a 'criminal offence'.

Please help, as I have to fill out a pre-employment form, asking if I have ever been convicted of a 'criminal offence.'

It is not a criminal offense..............but traffic infraction………The ninth circuit of appeals court and the Supreme Court has up similar rulings in regard to illegal immigrants facing deportation...........if there is no aggravating circumstance. You are okay! Don't worry about it.
