I am the father, we were never married, I am on the birth certificate. I live in NJ, my ex moved back to PA with our 3 year old son, after 2 years of living with me. Her lawyer told her that if she files in PA, that I could fight it and successfully get everything moved to NJ. She was pressing very hard to have everything done in PA, but I don't know if that was honest, or if it is to get around the fact that she split to a different state with him w/o my permission.

I don't know if I should file in NJ or PA. People tell me that PA is more lenient, but all I've heard is that support ends at 18. Can someone breakdown the pros and cons of each states custody/support laws?

Thank you.

Your best advice comes from a lawyer in PA or NJ.

The initial consult is free.

You can have a uninterrupted conversation and get your questions answered. You're gonna need a good lawyer anyway. Don't try to do this in your own. You'll end up getting screwed.
