Ive had my kids full time for the past year because their mother said she couldnt handle them a year after we separated. She has a long history of mental illness and has been recently diagnosed with "BPD", she doesn't have a job, car and relies on her boyfriend for all financial and transportation needs. I have always been the stable and reliable parent and i know they deserve to be with me. This past Sunday "Father's Day" after dropping off the girls for there 3 weeks with their mother, she told me as soon as the girls walked in the house, that she is keeping them full time and theres nothing i can do about it because were still technically married. The girls deserve way more than she can provide but i want to have joint custody because the girls deserve to see there mother at least every other weekend like we have been doing. So here's my questions. How can i get custody of my kids before the new school year starts? Is there some temporary custody agreement that acts quickly? Ive seen temporary custody agreements but for "extended family". Does still being married effect my rights to gain custody?

There's nothing QUICK about custody matters. There are emergency custody proceedings, if the children are in danger. I suggest you see a lawyer. If I were you, I'd consider filing for divorce and seeking custody resolution as part of the divorce process. You want the children, if you're still married, mom has as much right to keep them as does dad. That changes with a divorce.
