I have been fight to enforce my joint custody 3.5 years now and getting no where. My ex was just awarded full temporary custody. I live in the same town I'm a mother but my ex is a dentist and has more money and he is winning. Now he wants to move my children out of state. Can he do that? My attorney tells me I should let him. I'm so confused. I need a second opinion. My ex has been alienating and brain washing children against me and he is winning. Now that I'm living in the same town he wants to move my children out of state. Please help me.

Please remove your personal information.

Unfortunately, in Utah the presumption is in favor of relocation. This means that it's up to you to try and prove why the move is not in the best interests of the children.

It seems that your attorney knows this.

You should though request that Dad is responsible for all costs related to your visitation.

My opinion is seek a better attorney
I am in a custody battle myself
You are in my thoughts
I do feel you have a chance to fight forcjoint custody with right representation

She can certainly get a 2nd opinion from another attorney but he/she might give the same advice as her original attorney. Post is from May - don't know what has been going on since then.
