My ex girlfriend is pregnant with my child. She is about 7 months along. We broke up about 6 weeks ago and I moved out. I have a 13 y/o daughter that lives with me full time. My ex-girlfriend has a 4 year old son with someone else. About 3 years ago CYS took her son from her due to a problem with alcohol. About 6 weeks ago CYS got involved again because of her problems with alcohol. She cannot be around her son without supervision from other CYS approved adults. Once our child is born I want to file for 50% custody. Is it possible to get 50% custody of a newborn in PA? We live about 20 minutes from each other.

Discuss your intentions and desires with two or three licensed PA domestic relations lawyers in your county.

What you wish does occur, but not for the reasons you cite.

You see, knowing her history you chose to breed her.

Babies are rarely separated from their mothers.

Visitation is often possible for an unmarried male when the child nears school age.

What you need to prepare for is child support, because that often follows a birth.

At any rate, educate yourself so you can at least be prepared as you attempt to establish paternity, child support, visitation, and one day custody, maybe.

If i was you i would want sole custody..... if cps has already found she can't be trusted around her son without supervision. What makes you think she will care for a newborn...?
