My grandson was born 3/18/12 and lived with me every since then. His mother left after 4 months with him taking no change of clothes, just milk and pampers. She bought him back after three days never seen him but 2 times since then. She stays from place to place and gets an ssi check and food stamps and cash with the stamps every month and me and my wife never get any help from her. In August we filed for sole custody. November 1,2012 we got a paper that an unknown woman as a caretaker filed for physical custody,we all have the same court date which is march 13 2013. What advice would you have or steps to take for this custody situation

It might even be your daughter's paramour
Your court date is four months away.
I suggest you hire an attorney, if you seek guardianship over the child.
The only thing I can tell you is that custody cases are quite complicated.
You have a lot of pluses on your side in this matter.
You might try to get a message to your daughter, so she won't get blindsided.
