Hi,
My name is Dave. I'm interested in filing for divorce in PA. My wife and I have been separated for a couple of years, though she never did a change of address. There was an issue of infidelity with her in the past. She's also bipolar, manic depressive, and has been hospitalized in the past. Even though she has always been under my insurance, she has always made excuses about seeking treatment. Recently she was also charged with marijuana possession and is in some program called ARD. We have two children, which I am and have been the primary care giver. She does see the children, but not on a regular basis. I would like to review my options for divorce and custodial/full custody, especially now with the possession charge. Funds are limited, of course, but I may be able to get some family/friends to assist.

Thanks
Dave

You really don't want a nasty divorce. Get one under irreconcilable differences. As for "full custody" she is still going to have visitation even though it may be supervised until she can show she is free from drugs. If you go so far as to show that she has a medically verifiable mental condition that makes her dangerous to the children she may also have supervised visitation. Does that answer your question?
