Damages claims time limit

Late last year we received an eviction letter from our landlord that asked us to be out by Dec 31, 2010. We were moved out by Nov 17, 2010.

Today(March 17, 2011) we received a letter and a list of damages the landlord is claiming.


Can they claim damages 4 months after we have moved out? They also state that their are other damages that they don't yet have amounts for.

You received a request to vacate. Only a judge can evict a tenant.

You weren't evicted. You voluntarily left.

Of course the landlord can send you a letter demanding you pay tribute. That letter has the same legal standing his request to vacate had, none.

Don't do anything stupid. Ignore this clod. If he sues you, so what? You just defend yourself. His case us weak. You be strong.
