This morning I was stopped at a red light and a state trooper turned left in front of my truck going the opposite direction from me. He made a U-turn and came up behind me. Two seconds after the light turns green he puts on his lights and pulls me over. He tells me I didn't have my seat belt on, but he never came from his car to my window to even check. I told him it was on and he said I put it on when he was turning around.
Obviously his camera would show me wearing my seatbelt and prove my case (to an extent). He didn't ask for my insurance so I walked back to my truck to put the paper away and he becomes irrate as if I were a criminal. So I calmly go back and stand where "He did not give me permission to move" from and tell him I was returning my insurance paper to my truck. I'm wearing basically a high school uniform(work uniform) so I figure he took me for being a young punk. He continues to yell at me as I look across the street at 3 kids waiting to catch the bus and their mother looking at me wondering what was going on.
How would I go about getting the video evidence for my case? Also any ideas that you may have for me going into court with this case would help. It's a $25 dollar ticket but the cop was unethical and gave me the feeling that he was a little prejudice. He is a prime example of what the police force does NOT need to hire.
