Daughter's First Ticket in VA

My daughter has had her license for a year and a half and was cited for speeding last week. They wrote the ticket for 62 in a 45. Is there any advice -- I would like for her to experience the courts but not if it is going to be detrimental. If she goes is there a particular plea she should make?

She's lucky. 20mph over in VA is a reckless driving. I assume she is under 18 so an 8 hour traffic school will be mandatory. You might want her to go ahead and take the voluntary online course in time for it to show on her record and then take a certified copy with you to court. You might get lucky and get it reduced to a nonmoving. Here is a link with VA speeding ticket info:
