Dealer trying to deliver different care than negotiated

Hello, my wife and I just negotiated and signed financing for a new vehicle, which they didn't have the color she wanted on the lot. They stated that the car would be delivered from another dealership approx. 500 miles away sometime next week. When we got home we did a Vin # search for the care purchased and it showed up on the ad list for the dealership we just left, as on onsite and a different color? I called back and my salesman was not available and the car listed w/ the same Vin # was no longer for sale. I'm to assume that they are planning to paint the car to match the color we negotiated, this was not part of the deal we agreed upon. The paper work signed as, "sold as is equipped, nothing promised". If the quality is acceptable than I don't see a major issue, but my wife wants to cancel the deal immediately. We had already gone through the Finance dept. yesterday and paid the $1000.00, the money was placed on a credit card, so I could contest the charges? Please advise if able. Thank you very much.

Please advise if able. Thank you very much.

The credit card protest might be the quickest way to get the deal gone.

But, read your contract, and expect to discover some stiff penalties (you're agreed to pay) if you take that route.

Car Dealer trying to pull a fast one

We also traded in a paid off 2007 Jeep Liberty, which they have in there possession, and they let us drive off w/ a loaner car. Please advise if able. Thank you very much.

Please note reply above by army judge to your posts of yesterday.

Thank you for your reply. What actually happened is that the car that was written up for finance was the car on their lot that we didn't want, but the car I received two days ago was from a different city several hundred miles away with the right color, and with a different Vin #. I didn't notice until I got the car home, since I didn't have the paper work w/ me at the time. I have not signed any paperwork for the car I'm driving, and the Insurance was for the car w/ the other Vin #. My wife and I are to go in tomorrow and sign the papers for the current car we have in our possession. This all feels very wrong to me, am I exposed to any additional costs or liability?

You most certainly are exposed.
What your exposure is, I have no way of knowing.
This is why you don't buy certain things sight unseen.
There is great risk in choosing to do business the way you have apparently decided to do that business.
If I were you, I'd see if I could undo this deal.
If you are allowed to undo it, expect it to cost you.
How much?
I have no idea, but I would expect you'll be gouged.
If you are allowed to escape this deal, never ever buy expensive stuff this way again!

It's highly unlikely that they plan to paint a brand new vehicle. If you have not signed any paperwork for the vehicle you are driving, they cannot force you to sign anything. Simply refuse, demand your trade vehicle be returned immediately and your $1000.00.
