I spent hours on 12,23,08 scanning picture copies of my brother and sister from the 50's+ for chrismas presents. The photo girl at walmart helped and told me to come back the next day to pick them up, 12,24,08. I returned and was told by the girl at the counter I could not take the pictures because of copyright laws. I asked why I wasn't told the night before and she said she didn't know. I asked to speak with the manager and she said she was the photo manager, I asked to speak with the store manager.
He came and told me they wouldn't release the pictures. I asked why I wasn't informed the night before and he said I should have been. I was getting upset and asked for the district managers name and number and his name, the photo managers name and the girl from the night before. He told me he would give me his name but not others. I asked why not the girl standing in front of me and he stated in front of about 20 people that I may be a crazy customer.
I left and talked to the store manager who went to check it out. He returned and explained the copyright laws. I said that I wasn't interested in that I wanted to know why I wasn't given the names and why they could say I was a crazy customer and he stated that shouldn't have been said. I was also told the photo manager was sent home because she was so upset.
I left the store only to see the girl sitting outside at the employee break tarp laughing and text messaging, obviously not as upset as I was. My whole evening was ruined and I cried for hours, not only was I angry but I was embarassed beyond belief. Can they actually do that do a customer and not be held accountable?????
