Before i start my argument i would like to say that the "store owner" does not like me whatsoever. Also the GM and store manager have a very bad relationship.

One more: I am a college student and I told both the GM and store owner, that i will need SAT and SUN off permanently. We agree.

Okay, with this said let me begin:

I worked at a franchise and i needed Friday off. So I told the GM that i needed Fri off. The GM said no problem and told me i would have that day off, in fact, i told the store owner and he wrote it down on paper for the GM.

The next week i have work on Fri and Sat. I called the GM and told him that i needed those days off. He then tells me , "oh i'm sorry i made a mistake, i will take care of this, don't worry your fine". (In a text message i have) I insist " are you 100% sure?" he says "yes"

I then call my company just to INSURE that everything was okay that day. Instead, the store owner picks up and tells me " I don't care what the GM says, you were scheduled to work and you didn't, your off the schedule"

I believe this is a defamation of character and there are several other employees who have been fired for this same reason. Now, i don't think a class action lawsuit would be appropriate due to the costs of attorneys.

What are my options, and i'm I at fault for this incident or him?

Whatever it may be, it is in no way defamation!!!

From what you describe I don't even see a legal problem.

You have no right to a job, less alone specific days off.

Furthermore, the store owner owes you no legal duty to guarantee you a specific day off.

Ok well. With this said

The store owner specially wrote down" THIS EMPLOYEE WILL NOT WORK SATURDAY" so i dont come to work that day and im fired.

Logic?

There is no constitutional guarantee to employment.

Besides, the constitution guarantees citizens with what the government shouldn't do or deny to them.

Without a contract, employees are hired at will.

As far as days off, he has the right to change his mind.

Just as you have the right to resign.

You kept pushing it and you found yourself with Sunday through Saturday off every week, 52 weeks a year!!!

You now can exercise your right to seeking unemployment, a new job, or homelessness.
