deliberate damage to car

My jurisdiction is: london, uk

yesterday my boyfriend used my car to drop his daughter home. the child's mum was upset that her daughter's hair had been changed so they started to argue. in the heat of the arguement she kicked my car and has left a dented footprint on the passenger door. i would likt to press charges. do i have any rights? what is the procedure? and finally, what is the likely outcome?

VERY generally... You could press charges for criminal damage (as I believe it's called in the UK), and you could sue her for damages. To press charges, contact the local constabulary. I have no idea how you sue - I would contact your local court or consult a local lawyer.
