in dec i was told after 25 years of being a good tenant at (storage facility) my ms had gotten worse and i could no longer afford the fees.my sister was told in noiv and i was told in dec that i would only lose my deposit and that it would be sold off in march.on may 28 a woman had called from (storage facility) but did not leave a message(caller id).she started screaming at me that i owed over 400$ and that she would sue me to recover the deliquent fees.when i told her that i was told by a man that the unit would be sold in march she ignored me.and hung up on me.i went tio better bussiness bureau of nh but they ended telling me i had to deal with the owner myself.it is to be sold on july 17 but if the sale does not cover the fees i owe of 480$ am i responsible for the remaining balance.she told me that the man i spoke to was weak her words and had left (storage facility) and it was my debt.please help.can i be sued for this amt of money!

If the sale doesn't cover the storage fees, they do have the right to sue you for the balance. Do you have any type of written contract with them - if so, what does it say?

They may not be forthcoming with a copy. You biggest mistake was paying for storage for 25 years. I'm sure you exceeded the value of the contents several times over.
