dell computer problems

i bought a dell notebook 8 months ago and have had to send i tback ot be fixed 3 times now. it heats up and turns itself off and i can not even touch it til it is cooled off. they say they have fixed this 3 times and i am gettign ready to send it back for the 4th time.
can i make them take it back and refuse to pay for it. i charged it on my dell preferred account.
 
You certainly can ask them for a new one given the circumstance.........Be firm and threaten not to accept same laptop...........Keep talking to them and go up the ladder until someone accepts to take charge. Three times is an unspoken rule in customer service........They should replace it.
