I have been denied unemployment benefits because there was insufficient information provided to indicate whether I had a necessitous and compelling reason for voluntarily leaving my job. That being said I was not literally forced to quit but in a round about way asked to quit and threatened with being fired 9 days after my manager and I signed a contract stating that he would help me succeed. He did not support me as he said he would. I was called in from working in my territory early to sit down with my manager and his manager, there was only 1 other person in the office and they proceeded to ask me questions such as: "I mean do you really want to be here?" "You know just because it doesn't work out with someone here at --- that doesn't make them a bad person or us a bad company." then hit with "I want to be clear that if you are unable to achieve the minimum criteria of $$$ in sales in Feb, it may be necessary for you to part company from---. I have both docs the contract and the Performance improvement plan does it make sense to file an appeal? I am activly looking for employment, however unable to land a new job so far.

Here's the way I look at it.

If you've been denied unemployment and you file an appeal, you might win and you might not. If you don't file, you definitely won't win.
