just recentley i was given a 10 notice to vacate which i did move the owner said if i cleaned up the apartment i could have my deposit back okay the apartment complex has went through many managers the last one princton property had us as tenants fill out a new tenant agreement rental agreement ,she never gave us coppies of the new rental agreements ,then the apartments switched managers agian ,well when they switched we became back up managers to the new managers well the wife of the new managers wanted things ran her way ,she would do things with telling the owners so me and my husband would tell the owner what they were doing ,they didn't like this so they were trying to find a way to get rid of us,the managers wife doesn't like men who wear uniforrms she stated that you think your big and bad because you wear a security uniform he said no you think your bad because you took over the management of the apartments and its gone to your head end of the conversation,well they came up later and gave us a ten day notice to move,saying we broke the rental agreementwell if think we have a rental agreement somewhere but can't get ahold of it,so she made copies of one she had and out lined the areas we were suppose to have broke,then we called the owner on this and he told them to apoligize for what they did and they never did,they just told him they did in the mean time i had 5 people who watched and helped with the cleaning went through the apartment with the manager after words they stated yes you can have your deposit back well later she the managers wife went and looked at the apartment and said their were 9 burn stains on the carpet, keep in mind i smoke outside and 5 people i know didn't see any burn stains i took pics,,so i have been trying to get my deposit back which is 450.00 dollars and they won't give it back i even wrote the owner a letter they did the same thing to another couple that lives their two i'd like to sue all three the owner and these managers every way i turn is a loosing battle what can i do to get my deposit back.
