The morning after special agreement on phone reached, I arrived at dealer with my trade towed in and monies as agreed upon. Dealer told me his brother sold the car the night before. The day before I insisted he take a deposit and he said no, I don't work that way, don't worry.
I was stuck and he knew I had no car. He said he would make it right with other cars but that wasn't even close. I had to take one or I had no way home, about 20 miles plus my trade was offloaded from the tow truck and that driver had gone. I had been looking for two weeks and that car was fairly unique and suited me very much.
I am thoroughly disgusted with the car he switched on me. I told him to have his brother call the buyer and tell him he made a mistake and that that car had already been sold earlier in the day. He said he couldn't do that.
The car he had me buy was a common car I could have bought anywhere on day one of my search. The car the deal was made on isn't available anywhere within 100 miles anyhow. It was a 1993 Lexus SC 400 loaded., $2200.
I want that car.
