Did I commit Fraud?
After losing my job, I filed BK about six months ago without any legel and within a week or two I realized the information I had submitted was in correct. I used one of web forms. my wife house (we are seperateed but she was part of the BK) did not show up and some loans show up twice.
I ran to BK court thinking that I will be about withdraw my application. I found out that it was not possible however, if I do not show up to hearing, the request will be deniel. I talked to an attorney he told me to walk away from the it. I did not attend any meeting and hoping it will be over. Since I had found a job, i am in position to start paying obligations again.
however, the case was never dismis and now I am being subpeona to court for"Adveracary action" what should I do?
