I think you are looking to break your lease because your daughter recently died lying next to you on the floor of your apartment.
That must be horrible, so please accept my condolences upon your loss.
I suggest you get your pastor, your rabbi, your imam, your holy officiant, psychiatrist, a social worker, a psychiatrist, or a physician to speak with your landlord on your behalf.
One of them might be better able to explain to him better about what staying in the apartment is doing to you mentally, psychologically, and emotionally.

Are you older than 65 years old, on social security, or disabled? There might be another way to approach this.

Also, have you spoken with the agency that administers your section 8 grant?
That agency might be able to assist you in getting the landlord to allow you to break the lease easily.

Just keep trying, there is help available to you.
But, you must find that help.
If you are too emotionally crippled to do that at the moment, get a trusted friend or relative to try for you.
