Dispute with National Furniture and Bedrooms Store

Hi, back in Mar. I bought a waterbed from this co. I exchanged it for a different one that cost more money. That didn't work for my bad back either. They wouldn't let me return the platform base, but they let me exchange for a regular mattress. That didn't work either. They gave me credit for my full amount and I used it to try and ajustable bed frame and what i thought was a memory foam mattress, but is a latex foam, which i had specifically said I didn't want. The return policy was they would take 10% off each return, which the "big man" didn't do, it was his choice. They also have a 30 day sleep trial. They were very fair with me until this last time. I cannot sleep on the bed because of my back. I need to go back to sleeping on a couch as I have for 20 years. I have filed with the BBB and Consumer Protection. The "big man" hung up on me on the phone the last time I called when I said I had filed with consumer protection. He said he wasn't wasting anymore time with me. I have caused so much trouble and cost them so much time and money loss. I wrote and email to the owner. He, or someone finally replied and they responded with so many lies of what actually went on and threatened me with lawyer if I contact them or the "big man" again.
They say they have all this documented and will "willingly and truthfully" work with the BBB and Consumer Protection. A couple of things I can prove they are lying. The rest is, he said, she said. I am so upset and out almost $1,500.00. Consumer Protection said to try small claims court. Haven't heard anything yet from the BBB or Consumer Protection. If I go to small claims, they have all this stuff and I don't have much I can prove about them. Yes, that's alot of beds. The "big man" at one point said he was going to refund my cash - 10%. Then he talked to the owner and they shut me out. Help. Ideas? Any advice?

I am trying to figure out how to find other people who have had problems with this company. Public records against this company, etc. There have been some complaints to BBB, but they have been resolved. But there are so many blatant lies in their response to me, I would really like to talk to people who have had problems with them and also find out how many problems there are or have been. Also, if there have been complaints against the "big man's" abusive talking to me. That is not acceptable for anyone in business dealing with a consumer, no matter what. Thanks.
