In May of 2008 I called Sprint to end my service because my two year contract was up. At that time they informed me that my contract was not
up until May 2009, which they had extented without my knowledge. I spoke with Alshaundra in the cancellation dept. and told her that my paperwork
stated that my contract ended in May 2008. At that time she informed me
that they would apply an early termination fee. I then stated that I would file
a complaint with the FCC, and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which I did, and to go ahead and terminate my service.
Through Anita Francis with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Sprint reversed the early termination fee, but they maintain that I owe them for phone services after June 10, 2008 when Sprint
was told to end my service in May 2008.
There were two phones on this account. One was disconnected in June 2008,
but Sprint did not turn off the other phone on this account, which they were
told to do so in May 2008. Apparently the second phone was not turned off
until sometime in August.
Now Sprint has sent this disputed bill to a Collection Agency to collect
$42.65, that I do NOT owe.
I just want to know if I have any legal rights or legal options regarding this?

Respectfully,
Charles Andrade
