so here is my situation i posted--> http://www.thelaw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48263

so i went to court and i received a paper saying something about DA IAP and that if i stay out of trouble for 6th month then it will go away and i didn't speak to any judge , but i have to go to a meeting next week. and i also just received a letter in the mail today saying i have to report to the district attorney's office regarding the charges and if i fail to keep the appointment , a petition will be filed to the court
what does that mean?
what is the district attorney going to do?

EDIT
Well, yesterday i went to the DA office.
All i had to do is sign in, wait in the waiting room and to be called in.
so all i did was talk to him explaining him what happened and he gave me a second chance and dismissed it!
LESSON LEARNED!

is the district attorney going to talk about the theft i committed wen i went to court?
i dont know!
what is a district attorney?

They probably want to set you up with pre trial diversion. They will explain the program and if you sign their papers they can enter it into the record without you showing up to court. Get an attorney to help advise you.

Once you go to the meeting, if you could follow up with us on the forum it would benefit new members going through the same situation. Good luck.
