Three months ago I was in South Haven, Michigan visiting some friends. One of whom was having a bachelor party. We went to the bars and then went back to one of my friend's homes. The police were called because of a noise complaint (some of the guys were out on the porch playing the acoustic guitar). The officer took our information and told us to quiet down and left. We did quiet down and the police were not called out again. I never thought about it again until yesterday, it seems that I now have a warrent out for my arrest in michigan for disturbing the peace. I was not informed of any charges nor were any of my friends, the only reason I know this much is because the guy who owned the house called me to tell me he was arrested and released on bail. I now live in West vVrginia, I am attending a Master's program in forensic science. A misdemeanor conviction on my record will disqualify me from most employment oppertunities after graduation. I am a poor graduate student so I can't afford an attorney. I don't know weather to contact them from here or what. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If I plead not guilty, can they prove that I personally was disturbing the peace? Anyway, please help!
