Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Diversion program rules?

I was arrested for shoplifting and my lawyer said it is likely that I can get on a diversion program, though I have not been to court yet. I am supposed to study abroad in Spain may-july 2010 so will I still be able to do this?

Probably but these Diversion programs vary so ask your Lawyer
