I was recently charged with shoplifting in Kansas. I was offered diversion and went ahead an applied. I have already paid the $25 application fee and know there will be a court cost, but what else will I have to pay for? What is the average cost for everything you have to go through for shoplifting diversion? and also, what all do you have to do? My attorney told met hat I will have community service, and I assume I will also have a curfew, but what else is required? Please let me know. Thanks!

These programs vary so its not possible for us to tell you. Your Attorney will be best source for your answers. In general Diversion works just like a guilty verdict/plea with fines, community service, probation etc. The differnce is if you successfully complete program your case is dismissed. Once more this is not guarantee as these programs do vary
