Divorce already filed, but how is that possible?

My petition for divorce has been denied because it was already filed. The problem is, I haven't filed already, and my husband swears up and down that he doesn't even have a lawyer. The records are sealed for 30 days, so we can't even find out what is going on. Is it possible for someone to file for divorce on my or my husband's behalf? Neither of us have signed power of attorney over to anyone.

Its possible that SOMEONE could be lying.

Divorces aren't sealed for THIRTY DAYS subsequent to filing.

In fact, the opposing party is required (or is best advised) to file an answer to the initial filing within 20 days.

If you wait 30 days, he'll get the divorce his way by YOUR DEFAULT.

I suggest you visit the court house and ask for everything on any divirce action that involves you, or better yet, engage a lawyer.

You don't have to pay for the lawyer.

Your lawyer can get paid out of the marital estate (assets).

You're being BAMBOOZLED.

You might want to Google "divorce action "YOUR COUNTY, TX".
