divorce was filed between both of us and as been not action from the other party. If the ex doesn't take action on the counter suit, what is the time limit before the divorce would automatically be granted?

Do you mean you filed your divorce petition and the spouse hasn't filed a response?

If yes, it's not automatic.

You have to file a motion for a default decree.
