My Name Is Kathryn I've Been Married For Six Months. My "husband" Is In The Army. I Desperatly Need A Divorce, But I Have No Idea How To Do Any Of It. I've Filled Out The Packet As Much As I Can But I Need To Know How To Get Money For Things He Owes Me For, We Had All Of The Bills Sent To My House And Most Put In My Name So Making Payments Would Be Easier. Turns Out It Got Me Screwed. I Want Money For The Rings, His Phone Bills I Paid, The Checks I Sent To His Parents, Plus I Know He Got Paid Extra For Being Married , Is There Any Way I Could See Some Of That Money? I'm Also Not Sure On The Process Whre I Turn Things In How Long It Takes, What To Be Doing In The Mean Time, How Do I Serve Him? I'm Overwhelmed Help Please!

How long have you been married and what state are you in? You really need to google divorce in your state. You will need to have your husband served. It doesn't sound like you have been married for very long, so you probably are not entitled to any alimony. In a marriage of short duration both parties should exit the marriage with what they came into it with debt split. Not sure what to tell you about the rings, generally you should each pay for your own ring.

Each court has a law library and family court fascilitator. I recommend you talk to them.
