I received divorce papers from my husband, which we filled out together. We have no children and are in agreement with the division of property. We have been living apart for the past 6 years.

However, it is stated "the petitioner requests the following relief:
A divorce
B Property division
C Such other relief as is appropriate.

Part C is what concerns me, could I end up with more of his bills? He is keeping the house and we did have a second mortgage on our home, which was used to purchase his car. I have also recently found out that he did not file income taxes for 2006.

He hired an attorney to draw up the paperwork, I do not have an attorney. Since we agreed to the division.

I was in the same situation with my ex-husband. I ended up with all of the credit card debt which after our seperation he gladly went and charged close to $30,000 all of which I had to pay. I ended up filing bankruptcy because I just couldn't afford to pay all of that debt back. If you have the money, I would hire an attorney. If I could go back I would. Now, since he walked out on our old house, he & I are being sued for mortgage foreclosure (I posted a thread about it) even though I signed off everything. If you can hire an attorney!
