Actually it could be an illegal eviction...

Now would it be worth the time, energy and heartache of a civil suit? In my opinion no. But, it may be a plausible cause of action.

Agree with Proserpina. I don't think you can just be put out (evicted) without doing it legally. It's up to you whether you actually want to pursue the eviction or not through the court system.
