Do I have a case for retaliation?

June 20,2014 was the last day that I worked, on 6/23 i went to the e.r. in severe pain associated with a work injury that was reported 6/2013, had emg, nvc in november, diagnosed with nerve root compression, carpel tunnel, and recurrent carpel tunnel, had surgery 8 years ago on the right hand, still working for the same employer since 1999, I called into work that monday and was told to bring a doctors excuse, for the first time ever, I complied, later that day I was told that I needed a release from the doctor to return to work, problem with w/c not approving an mri for over 6 months, so the ortho would not treat me without the test, w/c has to approve the visit to get the release but would not, so monday and tuesday I was back and fourth with my employer trying to get them to do something, they were not happy, tuesday afternoon the owner finally said he would call w/c, that is when he found out I have a lawyer for the w/c, I was a department supervisor, my son worked in my department, he was off with an excuse, wearing a brace on his hand for a month with referral to ortho for possible surgery, wednesday morning he went to the job to find out if he would be able to return with the brace, I called my supervisor and he confirmed that he need a release to return to work, 10 minutes later my supervisor called back and told me that he self terminated by walking off the job, we got into an arguement on the phone about company policy and the fact that he was double talking himself, he told me to shut the f*** up that he wasnt talking to me, and I told him that I didnt give a f*** that he wasnt talking to me. So then on friday my son went to pick up his check and they refused to give it to him stating the reason was because I had uniforms, that is when I found out i had been terminated on wednesday, so on monday we went back and still refuse to give it to him because the owner wanted to talk to me. The owner informed me that he had nothing to do with the termination,
The month before another employee had a heated argurment with a supervisor and was yelling and cussing and all in his face and she was suspended for three days, last year i reported a supervisor for sexual harassment and smoking marijuana in the building, the coworker that was being sexually harassed coroborated what i said, and they swept it under the rug, the owner told me to keep my f****** mouth shut or I would be terminated, ever since then I have been treated differently, had my hours cut, been lied on by these supervisors who have been caught by management doing it, and told that is what i get for putting on the green shirt.

I believe they'll simply state the truth - you were fired for insubordination. Most employers don't take kindly to that language, and you may have just written off any chance at receiving UI.

It's probably a good idea to not interfere with the working relationship between any employer and your son. It is, after all, not your legal matter.

A case for retaliation - that I don't see based on what you posted.

It is hard to follow your post but if you got into a screaming match and used profanity with your supervisor, then you should expect to be fired. That isn't illegal in the slightest. Your WC claim would continue but you may not qualify for lost time benefits if you are fired and that is why you aren't working. Requesting a doctor's note for the time you are off is standard and should have been easy enough for you to obtain if you did see a doctor during your absence.
