I purchased a privately owned vehicle and the saler assurred me that the vehicle was serviced regularly. I asked about any accidents or major repairs to the vehicle and he assured me of no major damage or repairs to the vehicle. I was just informed by a certified mechanic that the previous owner did not keep up the maintenance on the vehicle as far as tune ups and oil changes. He further said the vehicle was used in what is called mudding and the spark plugs haven't been changed and water and mud have corroded the seals to the spark plugs causing rust on parts of the heads and slots for the spark plugs. The rusting is so bad that two spark plugs cannot be removed and it's going to be mote cosyly for me to have this vehicle repaired. Do I have a case.

No. You should have had the mechanic inspect the vehicle before you bought it. Enjoy your new-to-you vehicle.

Cars sold by private seller to private buyer are always SOLD AS IS.
Bottom line: caveat emptor = BUYER BEWARE

Agree with above answers, you buy a used vehicle as is & it is buyer beware. Always have the vehicle inspected BEFORE you buy it. Generally you never get any type of warranty when buying a used vehicle. Sorry.
