My roommate (we have lived together for over a year and I've had my two cats for several years longer), has starting moving the cat's litterbox into my small bedroom and locking it and the cats in while I am away. Most recently, when I had moved the box back to it's place he called me that day and left an aggressive and threatening voice-mail saying "..I'm sick of it (litterbox)...and if you take it out of your room again I will put both it (litterbox) and your cats outside." (note- this happened when there was eight inches of snow outside, both cats are indoor animals, and one of them would definitely run away if it got out)

Do I have a substantial case for harassment between his locking up my animals and his threatening voicemail? What are my options?

(note- we are both on our lease so our landlord can't do anything about his actions as much as she does not approve)

Thank you.

Your best option is to get a new roommate, or to move. You have no complaint to make that will get you anywhere in court.

Agree, I don't see where you have any type of case based on what you posted. It might be best if one of you moved. I don't know what else to tell you. Sorry.
