My Job went from Being paid hourly to by the job at the first of the year which really hurt. Now my employer is going to dock my pay $20 if I am 1 minute late Times are hard enough already and I'm only making between $80 and $150 a week I have to make myself available in site 24 hours a week 10 -4 4 days a week and with unemployment sky rocketing I can't afford to give up any income at all. Now is it legal for the employer to dock my pay in such a way?

No, it's not. And if you ARE docked in that manner, you can file a complaint with the DOL.

But an easier way to deal with the situation, would be to be on time for work.
