My wife had a spinal injection and the people at the doctors office discussed the price of the medicine and said i would have to pay 570 dollars for the shot .I had insurance at the time .I then got a bill for 860 dollars for anesthesia and for xrays .Total bill was 2 thousand. Can they make me pay for all those charges .There was never anything discussed or mentioned about charges for xray or anesthesia. The anesthesia was more than the shot!!My wife came back to the waiting room and allmost passed out crying like a baby from the pain. Some anesthesia ........Should i have to pay for all those things ,especially since nothing was mentioned about anything but the 570 dollar shot ?One thing,my insurance lapsed after the procedure .I am wondering if they are trying to milk the insurance.

If the procedure your wife had involved spinal injection, x-rays and anaesthesia and you paid for the first but are being charged for the two last items, the hospital or medical office she had it done at probably assumed that the last items were covered by your insurance company. If it falls under your coverage, check your coverage and/or deductibles. If not, you are responsible for it. Now, if she didn't have the x-rays and anaesthesia done but they are billing you for those items, then you should file a complaint against the hospital or medical office for false claims against your insurance company. Good Luck!
