Does anyone has any experience with NJ Violation 39:4-66.2? Do I need to go to the court for the summons or pay the fine without going to the court?

Before you plead guilty (or are found guilty by attempting self help legal remedies), avoid facing thousands of dollars in fines, court fees, and surcharges, PLUS increased insurance premiums, you might want to schedule an initial appointment with a couple attorneys in your county experienced in handling traffic matters.

Your state, NJ is very strict with traffic citation collections.

Its extremely hard to beat ANY traffic citation, its even harder in NJ.

I wish I could offer more encouraging news, but your state limits opportunities to minimize penalties.

See a lawyer (or two), the initial consultation is often free of charge.

Even in Texas (which offers many self help remedies), beating that kind of ticket is almost impossible.

But, in Texas, you'd simply ask for DEFERRED ADJUDICATION, pay a fine (with fees), stay citation free for 60 to 90 days; the matter is wiped away with the judge's pen.

It never happened.

I don't know if NJ allows DEFERRED ADJUDICATION.

If it does, that's your way out.

Otherwise, its YOUR word (useless and is ignored) against the sworn, law enforcement officer's word (TRUSTED and rarely questioned).
