My son has pled guilty to retail theft and conspricy. 3 counts of each. At his arrainment the detective and magistrate said he would get ard and probation. Should he have a lewery with him when ehe goes before the judge in court. Northampton county Pa

First off I don't believe your this child's parent. The very poor spelling is my first clue. ARD or related programs vary he needs to ask his Attorney

Why would charges be cleared? They stay on his record unless otherwise. Is he under 18?

Q: What is A.R.D.?
A: A.R.D. stands for Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition. Cases involving defendants with very little or no criminal record are routinely placed in the A.R.D Program. Defendant's placed in the A.R.D. Program must agree to a probationary sentence with conditions imposed by the judge such as restitution to the victim. If the defendant completes his/her sentence his/her record is automatically expunged. If he/she does not complete his/her sentence his/her case will go to trial. In minor assault cases the victim must agree to A.R.D.

Hope this helps!
