My ex-wife is taking me back to court for more child support as my income has increased substantially. OH retains jurisdiction. She lives in TX now and her TX attorney had her ask me if it was okay for him to contact me directly to "explain" some things to me. Why did he ask for permission? What risk am I exposing myself to by lettting him? Does me talking to him commit me to any course of action? I do not want jurisdiction moved to TX as I am familiar with the laws of OH and am comfortable with my obligations under those laws. Talking to him doesn't jeopardize any of that does it?
